Kurt Braunohler is an actor, writer, stand-up comic, improviser and director in New York City. He is based primarily out of The Peoples Improv Theater.

Bio/Credits[]

Kurt Braunohler performs with Big Black Car and The Faculty at the The Peoples Improv Theater in NYC where he also teaches. He was a member of Neutrino and helped develop The Neutrino Video Project. His other improv shows include The One Man Jam, which appeared in the Chicago Improv Festival. And has appeared at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe with his comedy partner Kristen Schaal. He helped Mother create The Soundtrack and hosts the late-night talk show Night of the Living.

Braunohler wrote and stared in the web-series "Penelope: Princess of Pets" that was made into a for-broadcast pilot for Channel 4 in London. He has won the ECNY award for "Best Male Comedian" and "Best Host" and the NYTVF's award for "Best Non-scripted Host." The anti-game show he hosts, "Pointless," is currently in development with IFC. He also co-wrote, directed and produced a music video for the New Pornographers.
